Boris Johnson Is Britain's Next Prime Minister

In a party leadership contest on July 23, 2019, Britain's Conservative Party elected former Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson new leader of the ruling party hence the country's next prime minister. That was reported by some media. He will be inaugurated as prime minister on July 24, 2019.

The flamboyant and charismatic Oxford educated Boris Johnson is a staunch advocate of Brexit. As such, he has vowed to take Britain out of the European Union by the planned exit date of October 31, 2019 with or without a deal.
