Will Smith And Queen Latifah To Produce Hip-Hop Musical Of Romeo And Juliet

Legendary movie super star Will Smith will team up with rapper Queen Latifah born Dana Elaine Owens to produce a hip-hop musical movie of Shakespeare's iconic love story Romeo and Juliet. That was reported by various media on May 18, 2019.

The movie will produced for Netflix, and based on a story about a romantic relationship in New York city involving a musician from a wealthy family and a young waitress. Matters related to the obvious social class difference form the core of the hip-hop version of the classic Romeo and Juliet hence the movie.

The movie will be directed by Solvan Naim alias Slick.
