20 Main Opposition Members Arrested In Tanzania

20 members of Tanzania's main opposition party Chadema in Tunduma in southern part of the country, were arrested on July 14, 2018, for alleged trouble making. That was reported by some African media on July 16, 2018. Among those arrested is a member of parliament Frank Mwakajoka.

Perpetual arrest and harassment of members of opposition parties by police for trivial reasons, are becoming increasingly common in Tanzania.
