Bankrupt Boris Becker Appointed CAR's Ambassador And Becomes Untouchable To Creditors

Boris Becker was appointed by the Central African Republic, CAR, as the country's Attaché for Sports, Humanitarian, and Cultural Affairs in April 2018, reported various media sources on June 14, 2018. As such and according to the 1961 Vienna Convention, the legendary former tennis superstar gained diplomatic immunity from all types of legal processes in courts worldwide.

Boris Becker is currently facing bankruptcy proceedings from creditors over an outstanding debt amounting about $80 million. The appointment may therefore offer great advantage for him, as diplomatic immunity will make him untouchable to the often merciless creditors!
