Africauptodate

In a damning report released on May 24, 2018, Amnesty International claimed Nigerian soldiers serving in the northeast of the country, demand sex from female victims of terror group Boko Haram, in exchange for food. According to the report, girls and women in the area, susceptible to Boko Haram attacks and abductions, are compelled to submit to rape by soldiers and pro-government vigilante, in order to escape starvation.

Notwithstanding, however, Nigeria's military lambasted the report as fictitious and malicious.
