Tanzania To Open Embassy In Israel For The First Time
Tanzania is set to open its first embassy in Israel on May 8, 2018, reported Israel media on May 2, 2018. The new embassy will be located in Tel Aviv's Ramat Gan. Tanzania will be joining increasing number of African countries with embassies in Israel.
Many African countries broke their diplomatic ties with Israel due to the Palestine issue and the Jewish state's support of the former apartheid regime in South Africa. However, in the past couple of years Israel have been making great progress in winning them back.
