Tanzania's Former Foreign Minister Expelled From Ruling Party

Tanzania's former foreign minister and prominent member of the country's ruling party CCM, Bernard Membe, was on February 28, 2020 expelled from the party, reported some media. According to the reports, Mr Membe was forced out of the ruling party for alleged unethical conduct.


Reportedly experiencing internal squabbles, CCM also chastised the party's former secretary generals Abdulrahman Kinana and Yusuf Makamba.


Tanzania will hold general elections in October 2020.
