Tanzania regime's second-in-command Dr Emmanuel Nchimbi has announced resignation effective from September 4, 2026. He made the announcement on August 25, 2026. That was reported by some African media.

The resignation of Dr Emmanuel Nchimbi follows recent reports that he has fallen out with the regime's female leader and her close loyalists within the ruling party CCM. It is believed in some quarters that there are mainly these disagreements or differences that made him quit the regime.

Some months ago, Dr Emmanuel Nchimbi is said to have emphasized that it is not possible to have peace without justice. As such, his resignation could probably also be a result of his disagreement with the autocratic policies and actions of the regime that took power late last year after violent sham general elections that witnessed massacre of over 500 unarmed people by security forces.

Nevertheless, an absolutely courageous and right move by Dr Emmanuel Nchimbi that should be applauded worldwide. That is because, smart and good people ought not be part of an evil regime that oppresses, abducts, tortures, and murders its own citizens.
