Pirates Kidnap 9 Cargo Ship Crew Members Off Coast Of Benin

On November 2, 2019 some pirates boarded a cargo ship off the coast of Benin and kidnapped 9 members of its crew, reported some media on November 4, 2019.
The cargo ship called MV Bonita is owned by J J Ugland of Norway. According to the reports, it was 14 kilometers from Benin's port of Cotonou when the pirates boarded it and abducted the crew members.
Pirates are not uncommon in some parts of the waters of West Africa, especially the Gulf of Guinea.
