DJ Warras Gunned Down In Broad Daylight In Johannesburg

South Africa's popular DJ Warras has been gunned down in Johannesburg, reported some South African media on December 17, 2025.
Warras, born Warrick Robert Stock, who was a radio and club DJ, is said to have been gunned down in broad daylight in downtown Johannesburg, in close vicinity of the city's iconic Carlton Center, just after midday on December 16, 2025. Reportedly, the apparent assassination took place after some suspected shooters dressed as security guards approached the DJ, opened fire on him, and then fled the scene on foot. The suspects are still at large, according to the reports.
South Africa is among countries with highest rates of violent crime including murder. According to some sources, violent crime in the country can occur anywhere, anytime, and anybody there can be a victim of it irrespective of, e.g., social status, race, gender, age, etc.
