Burkina Faso, Niger, and Mali have ditched the International Criminal Court (ICC), reported some African media on September 23, 2025.

According to the reports, the three neighboring West African countries that are currently led by military juntas, announced their decision to withdrawal from the controversial court on September 22, 2025.
In their announcement, the three countries are said to have jointly accused the ICC of, among others, turning into a tool of: neo-colonial repression, and global selective justice.
Since military juntas took power, Burkina Faso, Niger, and Mali have expelled all troops from France and some other so called Western countries, and established strong ties with Russia.
