Bah Ndaw Inaugurated As Mali’s New President

Bah Ndaw (70) was on September 25, 2020 inaugurated as Mali’s new president, reported some media. The inauguration follows a military coup in August 2020.

President Bah Ndaw, a former defence minister and retired arm colonel, will lead the West African nation’s interim government for 18 months before general elections are held. His inauguration paves the way for ECOWAS to lift sanctions it imposed on Mali after the military takeover.
