Egyptians Vote In Referendum For Constitutional Amendment

Egyptians on April 20, 2019 went to polling stations to vote in referendum for a proposed amendment of the country's Constitution, reported some media.

The proposed constitutional amendment is expected to allow, among others, extension of the mandate period for presidential term from 4 to 6 years, as well as extension of permitted number of consecutive presidential terms from 2 to 3.
