Ramaphosa To Witness Testing Of New South African Made Commuter Trains
President Cyril Ramaphosa of South Africa on April 9, 2019 will witness testing of locally manufactured commuter trains in Cape Town, reported some South African media on April 8, 2019.
The new state-of-the-art commuter trains will be operated on Cape Town's upgraded commuter rail system and owned by the Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa alias Prasa. Under its improvement program, Prasa expects to put into service 7 000 of the new locally manufactured commuter trains during the next 20 years.
Great move by Africa's most industrialized country, that shows the way the continent can generate its own capital assets!
