Tanzania's Ban Of Local Newspaper Violates Freedom Of Expression, Ruled East African Court Of Ju

On June 21, 2018 the East African Court of Justice ruled in favor of a local Tanzanian newspaper called Mseto that was banned by the government in August 2016 for 3 years, for allegedly publishing incitements and fake news.

According to some African media sources, the court said the ban of the newspaper was a violation of the right of freedom of expression, hence illegal,.and as such, should be revoked.
