Alice Marie Johnson Released From Jail After Been Pardoned By Trump

Alice Marie Johnson has been released from jail after been pardoned by US President Donald Trump on June 6, 2018. President Trump decision followed a meeting he had with Kim Kardashian West on May 30, 2018, in which the reality television superstar urged him to pardon Ms Johnson.

Alice Marie Johnson who is 63, was jailed to life without parole by a court in Memphis in 1997, for a non-violent drug trafficking offence. It was Ms Johnson's first criminal conviction. The conviction has over the years been castigated as excessive in numerous quarters.

Ms Johnson is reported to be very happy with her release from jail and has expressed invaluable thanks and appreciation to both Kim Kardashian and President Trump.
