Trump Nominates First Female African American For Promotion To A General

The deputy director of operations, plans, and policies at the US Marine Corps headquarters in Washington, DC, Colonel Lorna M. Mahlock has been nominated by President Donald Trump for promotion to brigadier general, announced US department of defense on April 10, 2018. When the promotion is confirmed, Colonel Mahlock will be the first female African American general.
