Uganda’s Works And Transport Minister Escapes Assassination Attempt

Uganda’s minister of works and transport and former army chief General Edward Katumba Wamala on June 1, 2021 escaped an assassination attempt, reported some East African media.

According to the reports, the assassination attempt was unleashed by four gunmen on motorcycles, who opened fire on the minister’s official vehicle, in a suburb of the capital Kampala. The minister escaped the attack with some injuries, but his daughter who was with him in the vehicle was killed.
