Trump Acquitted Of All Charges In Impeachment Trial
President Donald Trump of USA on February 5, 2020 was acquitted by the US Senate, of all charges in an impeachment trial spearheaded by the Democratic Party. President Trump was facing two charges, namely abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.
Impeachment of a president in USA requires at least two thirds of the Senate's 100 seats/votes. As such, it may be very difficult, indeed, to impeach a president. There have been only two previous impeachment trials in USA, namely those of Presidents Andrew Johnson (1868) and Bill Clinton (1998), which both failed.
