World: Legendary Bill Cosby Found Guilty Of Sexual Assault

On April 26, 2018 a jury in a court in Pennsylvania found the legendary entertainer Bill Cosby guilt of drugging and sexually assaulting a woman called Andrea Constand at his home in Philadelphia in 2004. The verdict implies he could face up to 30 years in prison. Tens of other women have accused the global superstar of similar offenses.

The guilty verdict against Bill Cosby has been applauded by some proponents and supporters of the #Metoo campaign, saying it shows people are beginning to believe public narrations about sexual assault some women have suffered some years ago, from powerful men.

Bill Cosby lawyers say their client will appeal the verdict.
