Saint Lucia Labour Party (SLP) won Saint Lucia’s general elections that were held on July 26, 2021, reported some Caribbean media on July 31, 2021.
SLP won the elections by a landslide, taking 13 seats of the lower house of the country’s parliament, say the reports. The victory implies that Philip J. Pierre becomes Saint Lucia’s next prime minister.
Saint Lucia’s parliament consists of a lower house alias House of Assembly with 17 seats for elected members of parliament, and an upper house alias Senate with 11 seats for appointed senators. _____________________________ © 2015 - 2021 Africauptodate. All Rights Reserved
