Meghan Markle And Prince Harry To Move Back To Britain

Meghan Markle The Duchess of Sussex and her husband Prince Harry The Duke of Sussex will make a return to Britain, reported some British and US media on August 19, 2026. The couple have been living in USA since 2020, after they stepped back as senior members of the British royal family, a decision dubbed Megxit, early that year.

According to the reports, the Duchess and the Duke are expected to make the return to Britain as private citizens later this month. Megxit will therefore remain intact despite the move, say some reports.

In Britain, the couple will reportedly live in a private non-royal mansion located somewhere outside London.

It is not known clearly why Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have decided to make a return to Britain at this particular point in time. However there are speculations that their monumental decision could have been influenced by, among others, the following.

1. Alleged improvement in the relationship between Prince Harry and his dad King Charles

2. The couple's desire to have their two children aged 7 and 5, start school in Britain in September 2026

Currently, the Duchess and the Duke live in a posh mansion in Montecito, CA, USA. Some reports say that they intend to keep the mansion during the time they will be living in Britain, indicating that the return may not be a permanent one.
