Japan Announces $30 Billion Development Grant To Africa

Japan has announced a $30 billion grant for development in Africa over a 3-year period, reported some media.

The announcement was reportedly made by Japan’s Prime Minister Fumio Kishida on August 27, 2022, via video link to an ongoing 8th Tokyo International Conference on African Development alias TICAD8 that began in Tunis, Tunisia, on August 27, 2022 and scheduled to end on August 28, 2022.
