David Lammy has been appointed UK's new deputy prime minister. The appointment follows a significant cabinet reshuffle by the country's PM Keir Starmer on September 5, 2025.
Deputy PM David Lammy replaces Angela Rayner who has been compelled to resign from the deputy PM position over a politically contentious property tax issue.
Also, David Lammy who is former foreign secretary, becomes new justice secretary.
