Tanzania Beats Uganda 3 - 0 To Qualify For Africa Cup Of Nations For The First Time Ever
Tanzania's national football team alias Taifa Stars have often been seen as underdogs in African football, having never in its history qualified for the World Cup or Africa Cup of Nations.
Notwithstanding, however, that seems to have dramatically changed on March 24, 2019 when the national team under their Nigerian coach former football superstar Emmanuel Amunike, delivered an impressive performance at the country's modern Benjamini Mkapa National Stadium in Dar es Salaam, mercilessly defeating Uganda's national team alias The Cranes 3 - 0. With the victory the team booked themselves a place a place for first time in 39 years, in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
After the unprecedented performance, the country's president Dr John Magufuli is said to have invited the team to the State House alias Ikulu and gave each of the players involved a parcel of land in the new capital Dodoma as reward.
Tanzania is one of few African countries that exploit the continent's wealth of former highly talented world class professional football superstars.
