41 Dead In Uganda After Landslide

A landslide caused by heavy rains in Bududa district in Uganda, has left at least 41 people dead, reported various media on October 13, 2018.
According to the reports, because of heavy rains in the district on October 11, 2018, a river burst its banks sending mass of mud and rocks smashing into homes in surrounding settlements.
Bududa area is located on the slopes of Mount Elgon. It is densely populated partly due its agriculturally fertile volcanic soils.
