Tanzania's High Court Rules Against Appeal Over Controversial Online Content Regulations

On May 30, 2018, Tanzania's High Court ruled in favor of the government, in an appeal case by the country's human right groups among others against recently announced online content regulations.
The court decision nullifies a temporary court injunction against the regulations issued by the high court on May 4, 2018, after the appeal was lodged. That implies the highly controversial regulations can now be enforced fully fledged by the government.
