According to the media reports, Queen Senteni Masango committed suicide through overdosing herself with tens of capsules of a mental illness drug. It is not known whether her decision to kill herself is related to some rumors that over the past three years hitherto her death, she lived a very lonely life in her luxurious royal mansion without a single visit from her husband.
Senteni Masango who was 36, married King Mswati III in 2000 at the age of 18, after she was selected by the king at the 1999 Royal Reed Dance ceremony. The latter is an iconic Swaziland's annual cultural event in which beautiful half naked virgin girls sing and dance to the king, one of which is selected by the king to be his next wife.
