Nigeria, Egypt, and Kenya In WEF Top 10 Most Dangerous Tourist Destinations

In its report called Travel and Tourist Competitiveness Report 2017 released recently, the World Economic Forum, WEF, ranked 136 countries according to their safety for tourists. The ranking is based on occurrence rates of violent crime and terror attacks, with petty crime excluded. Some African countries have performed rather poorly in the ranking, with Nigeria, Egypt, and Kenya ranked at the top 10 most dangerous tourist destinations in the world. Nigeria is ranked 132nd, while Egypt and Kenya are at the 130th and 129th places respectively.
