Protesters In Haiti Attack Presidential Residence
Africauptodate
Protesters in Haiti's capital Port-Au-Prince have stoned the residence of the country's president, reported some media on February 10, 2019.
The protesters are demanding President Jovenel Moise to step down, accusing him of failing to contain corruption in the public sector and particularly embezzlement of public funds by public officials. They are also said to be discontented with the country's declining economy as well as high inflation.
So far two people have died as a result of the violent protests.
