Operation Of Ivory Coast's Soubre Hydroelectric Power Station Officially Initiated

Operation of the recently completed Soubre hydroelectric power station in Ivory Coast was officially initiated in a ceremony held on June 30, 2017. The power station is capable of generating 275 MW of electricity. The Soubre hydroelectric power station project was executed by a Chinese company at a cost of $572 million. It entailed construction of 4.5 kilometer dam that is currently the largest in the country.
