Lesotho’s Ex-PM Thomas Thabane Hired Diehard Hitmen To Gun Down Ex-Wife

Updated: Jun 28, 2020

Lesotho’s police sources have revealed that the country’s former Prime Minister Thomas Thabane and his current wife Maesaiah Thabane hired some diehard hitmen from a local criminal gang to gun down the PM’s former wife Lipolelo Thabane, at a fee amounting about $179 000. That was reported by some media on June 11, 2020. According to the revelation, Thomas and Maesaiah Thabane paid $24 000 to the hitmen as down payment for the contract killing.

Lipolelo Thabane was shot dead in her car near her home on the outskirts of the capital city Maseru on June 14, 2017, 48 hours hitherto second inauguration of Thomas Thabane as PM. Thomas Thabane resigned on May 19, 2020 after immense pressure for him to do so, following alleged involvement in the murder of Lipolelo Thabane
