Janet Jackson, 50 Cent, And Chris Brown Perform At Music Festival In Controversial Saudi Arabia
Various human rights campaign groups have strongly urged music artists worldwide to snub Saudi Arabia's music festival called Jeddah World Fest, because of the country's appalling human rights record. Despite the calls, music megastars Janet Jackson, 50 Cents, and Chris Brown astonishingly performed at the opening day of the festival in Jeddah on July 18, 2019. Also in action on day one of the festival were Future and Tyga, reported some media on July 19, 2019.
Earlier on July 9, 2019, popular rapper Nicki Minaj pulled out of the music festival, citing human rights concerns for her decision.
