US Secretary Of State Pompeo Visiting Senegal, Angola, And Ethiopia

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on February 15, 2020 arrived in Dakar, Senegal, to begin his first official visit to Africa South of the Sahara. From Senegal Mr Pompeo on February 16, 2020 proceeded to Angola. He will culminate his African official tour by visiting Ethiopia.

According to some media reports, Mr Pompeo is expected to discuss with his African hosts, matters related to USA cooperation with Africa, and particularly trade, investment, and security.
