Hotel Rwanda Movie’s Hero Paul Rusesabagina Appears In Court In Rwanda

Hotel Rwanda movie’s hero Paul Rusesabagina on February 17, 2021 appeared in court in Kigali, Rwanda, reported some media. He is facing several charges of terrorism.

Mr Paul Rusesabagina who is a Belgian citizen has been in incarceration in Rwanda since August 2020 after he emerged in Rwanda under rather mysterious circumstances.

According to his family in Belgium, he was kidnapped in United Arab Emirates (UAE) and taken against his wish to Kigali.

However, the Government of Rwanda is said to have dismissed the family’s allegation, saying that Mr Paul Rusesabagina was in UAE on transit to Burundi to meet a person there. On arrival in Burundi, that person betrayed him and delivered him to Rwanda.
