African Leaders Descend On Pretoria To Attend Ramaphosa's Inauguration

Several African heads of state have descended on South Africa's capital Pretoria, to attend the inauguration of president-elect Cyril Ramaphosa, reported some African media on May 25, 2019.

Heads of state attending the inauguration ceremony are those of: Tanzania, Angola, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Uganda, Democratic Republic of Congo, Lesotho, Eswatini, and South Sudan.

Tanzania's President John Magulfuli alias the Bulldozer is tipped to be the centre of attention among the visiting heads of state, due to his strong distaste of foreign trips, having made just a handful of such trips since coming to power in 2015. Even the few foreign trips he has made so far, six in total excluding the one to South Africa, none have been outside Africa. The inauguration of Ramaphosa must have, therefore, probably meant a lot to him and his country!
