11th Extraordinary Summit Of The AU Commences

The 11th extraordinary summit of the African Union (AU) commenced at the continental organization's headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on November 17, 2018. The two day summit of heads of states or their representatives ends in November 18, 2018.

The summit aims at reaching an agreement about a proposals from President Paul Kagame of Rwanda for institutional reform of the AU, that will, among others, lessen the organization's dependence on donors for its financing.
