Tanzania's Main Opposition Leader Mbowe In Hospital After Collapsing

Tanzania's main opposition leader Freeman Mbowe is in hospital in Dar es Salaam after collapsing on June 18, 2018, reported the country's media. His condition is, however, said to be improving.

On the day he got sick, Mr Mbowe was required to be in a magistrate court in Dar es Salaam, together with most of other top leaders of his political party Chadema, for allegedly organizing an illegal demonstration, and particularly inciting hatred and rebellion against the state. During the peaceful demonstration that took place in Dar es Salaam in February 2018, the country's brutal police shot dead an innocent 21 year old female college student.
