Serena Williams Says She Intends To Quit Professional Tennis

Serena Williams (40) has announced intention to quit professional tennis after the US Open 2022 that is due to start in New York City on August 29. That was reported by some US media on August 9, 2022.

Timing and venue of the tennis megastar’s planned retirement from professional tennis may not be coincidental. She won her debut Grand Slam title there in 1999 at the age of 18. After that, she went on to win 22 more Grand Slam trophies from all corners of the world.

With a total of 23 Grand Slam titles won in a tennis career spanning about 27 years, Serena William is one of world’s greatest tennis players of all time.

Apart from tennis, Selena Williams is an accomplished entrepreneur with her own fashion line. She is also a staunch philanthropist.
