Ngorongoro Crater's Fausta Dies At 57



The iconic black female rhino called Fausta that lived most of its life in the wilderness of Ngorongoro Crater National Park in Tanzania, has died at the age of 57 of natural causes, reported some media worldwide on December 28, 2019. In the last few years before its demise, Fausta is said to have lived in a sanctuary within the famous crater. At 57, Fausta is believed to have been the oldest rhino in the world.


Life expectancy of rhinos is between 37-43 years.
