Magdalena Andersson Is Sweden’s New Prime Minister
Rest Of The World November 24, 2021
Magdalena Andersson is Sweden’s new Prime Minister (PM). She was elected PM by the Swedish Parliament alias Riksdag in the morning of November 24, 2021. Magdalena Andersson becomes the first female PM in Sweden’s modern political history and 100 years since Swedish women gained voting rights.
Notwithstanding, however, PM Magdalena Andersson faces challenging times ahead that start almost immediately with presentation of an annual budget by her political party Social Democrats, to Riksdag later today, that is expected to be supported only by the party’s traditional ally the Green Party. All other opposition parties have said they will present their own alternative budgets, with the Moderate Party, the Sweden’s Democrats Party, and the Christian Party presenting a joint budget.
