Governor Of PNG’s Port Moresby Tells Troublemakers To Leave Town For Good

Africa's Diaspora Communities | Papua New Guinea February 14, 2021

Governor of Papua New Guinea (PNG)’s capital Port Moresby, Powes Parkop, has told troublemakers hailing from other parts of the country to pack up and leave town for good. That was reported by some PNG media on February 9, 2021.

More specifically, the governor reportedly said people from other provinces who engage in fighting and killing one another in the city should be compelled to go back to their home provinces and banned from returning. He added that Port Moresby had no place for people who cannot live in respect and harmony with others.

The city boss is said to have made the utterance in reaction to a recent drug related fighting in the city that left three people dead.
