Death toll from ongoing deadly unrest in South Africa has leaped to at least 117 as of July 15, 2021, reported some South African media. At the same time, the government there is said to have deployed 5 000 military troops in addition to 2 500 it deployed on July 12, 2021, to assist police quell the unrest.
