30% Of Pakistan’s Civilian Pilots Fly With Fake Licences

Updated: Jun 28, 2020

262 of Pakistan’s total 860 civilian pilots, about 30% of the country’s civilian pilots, have either fake licences or cheated in exams during their pilot training courses. That was reported by some media on June 25, 2020.

The damning revelation is said to be in a report about findings of an inquiry into the recent crash of a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) passenger plane in Karachi that killed 97 people onboard. The crash was reportedly caused by human error.

Following the inquiry findings, PIA is said to have grounded 150 of its pilots over suspected fake pilot licences.
