World Bank And EU Freeze Financial Support To Tanzania
The World Bank and the European Union (EU) have frozen their financial support to Tanzania, reported some media on December 31, 2018.
The World Bank is said to have cancelled a $304 million loan, while the EU has suspended a $101 million of annual financial aid to the East African nation. The actions of the two international donors are reported to be in response to Tanzania's worsening human rights record.
