Popularity Rating Of Tanzania's Magufuli Drops By 16%
Popularity rating of President John Magufuli of Tanzania dropped by 16% over the past one year, from 71% in June 2017 to 55% in April 2018, according to results of an opinion poll by a local think tank called Twaweza, and reported by some Tanzanian media on July 6, 2018.
According to the reports, the country's main opposition party in responding to the plummeting popularity of the president, said things would have been worse for him had he allowed freedom of expression.
President Magufuli's approval rating peaked at 96% in 2016.
