DRC General Elections 2018 Postponed Again

Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) 2018 general elections that were scheduled to be held on December 23, 2018 have been postponed to December 30, 2018. That was announced by the country's electoral commission on December 20, 2018.

Overall, the elections are massively delayed, having been postponed multiple times before, since December 2016 when they were originally scheduled to be held.

The current postponement is said to have been caused by a recent fire in the capital Kinshasa, that allegedly destroyed most of electoral material and equipment.
