South Korea To Provide $5 Billion Financial Assistance To Africa

The government of South Korea has announced a $5 billion financial assistance package to Africa, reported various media sources on May 23, 2018. The announcement is said to have been made at an ongoing Korea - Africa Economic Cooperation Conference alias 2018 KOAFEC, in Busan, South Korea. The financial assistance package will be provided over a period of two years, through partnerships with different development actors in Africa.

2018 KOAFEC commenced on May 21, 2018, and will end on May 25, 2018.
