Aretha Franklin Dies At 76

The legendary soul musician Aretha Franklin alias "Ree-Ree" died at home in her hometown of Detroit, Michigan, on August 16, 2018. She was 76.
She was also a staunch philanthropist, supporting several charitable organizations including: Feeding America, Barbara Davis Center for Childhood Diabetes, The Rainforest Foundation, and Robert F Kennedy Memorial, among others.
An African American, Aretha Franklin was so deeply loved in Detroit that the city named two streets after her name.
