Mali's Keita And Cisse To Compete In Run-Off Presidential Election

In Mali's presidential election held on July 29, 2018, none of the candidates secured more than 50% of the vote needed for outright victory. The incumbent president Ibrahim Boubacar Keita led with 41.4% of the vote, while Soumaila Cisse at second place secured only 17.8%.

As such and according to the country's Constitution, the two leading presidential candidates will compete one more time in a run-off election to be held on August 12, 2018.
